Another couple favorites, 12 Oclock High and King Solomon's Mines. The Stewart Granger version, not the stupid remake.

Independent movies usually are the best. Most mainstream movies suck.

Another favorite is RKO 281. Its about Orson Welles and how Citizen Kane was filmed and how Hearst tried to stop it with blackmail, threats and so on. Great movie, pretty accurate.

It was a TV movie on HBO. It had Leiv Schreiber as Welles, James Cromwell as Hearst, Melanie Griffith, Roy Scheider and John Malkovich. Very good movie, I think you would like it.

Its a dandy.

Another favorite is an old B movie from 1950 Rocketship XM. Primitive special effects and unrealistic premise about Mars and space in general, but a great storyline and performances. It had a young Lloyd Bridges as the star. Ive seen it a bunch of times, but it never gets old. Also a cool soundtrack score by Ferde Grof.

The Shawshank Redemption with Morgan Freeman is a really good film. I was really surprised by this movie. This definitely goes on the favorites list. Also, Shutter Island with Leonardo DiCaprio.

Yes ! That's really good also. Definitely worth watching. The intouchables was outstanding! I really enjoyed it.
