What kind of schooling do/did you have?

Post by lovelyreader21 »

If you're still in school, what type of schooling are you in now? Public? Private? Homeschool? College (if so, what type of college--Christian, community, etc)? I'm curious to see what educational walks of life you come from. I'm currently homeschooled, but I've done public school as well. It's kind of interesting to see what kind of eclectic backgrounds we come from and how somehow we all still have this same love for books and art, whether it be through the form of music, writing, paintings, or so on.

Public school through 12th grade, then tech school, followed by a 4 year college. Pretty boring but it is the way it went.

One of my proudest moments, returned to college after the age of 50 to " formalize " my education of my lifelong passion of Art...

I thought I'd be the oldest one in the class, but 1/3 of us were over 50..

I went to a super tiny private Christian school through 8th grade, then it closed down. Homeschooled in 9th grade, moved, switched to public school from 10-12th grade. Then lived at home and commuted for 4 years of state university, followed by two more years (6 non-stop semesters, including summers) of an intense graduate school program in the same university. Internships, licenses, and credentials galore. I use none of them now. I just sing the Wiggles all day. Yay!

Much more interesting than my experience at least, so not a total waste of time. :)

Actually I feel like I lied, my degree did help me get my visa to Japan. Without that, I couldn't have worked here. Unless I married a Japanese guy, I guess, but that didn't happen, so the degree was necessary.
