I like This Old House. The only time I read it was in a Dr. office, but I was impressed with it.

It is an extremely cool magazine! They put a lot of effort into it. Another good one is The Family Handyman.

I had a bunch of magazines I found in an old house we tore down I forget the name, but it was more to do with going back to nature, how to build houses, organic gardens, heating with wood stoves, solar panels stuff like that. They even told how to do car repairs, including front end alignment. I wish I could remember the name and still had them,they were very informative. I think they were from the 70's.
