I am definitely more for local government having the most influence, since the peoples' voice is more easily heard then, as opposed to being lost in the albatross of the federal government. I think we need to completely overhaul the current system and go back to how it was set up in the first place. Might take a legitimate miracle for it to happen though.

I completely agree. The current system is broken beyond repair. So much more is accomplished at a local level.

I don't really follow politics because people are too open about sharing their opinions, and I hate listening to them because most people are not very well educated about what is really going on in the political world.
On a lighter note, election season is always quite funny for me here in Japan... because there is no "L" in Japanese, so sometimes the pronunciation of "election" makes me giggle uncontrollable.
