How do you hold your books?

I definitely do my best not to damage a book. Typically I will hold the book with two hands, though at times I will hold the book with one hand (not bending the cover back like a newspaper).

I try not to crack the binding in the beginning, but usually after a while I give up, just because it's too uncomfortable to hold the book that carefully for long. I do tend to hold books with hands, though.

I always try to keep my books in good condition and get very upset if someone borrows one and returns it damaged. I'm trying to teach my 22 mo old but it is not going very well...

I lie on my stomach with the book on the ground, I read with the book bent back, I read with the book agaisn't the cat, upside down, walking, I hold my book anyway that feels comfortable at the given time.

I usually balance my tablet on my leg and read while I'm eating on break. Book bindings tend to get damaged by me if they are paperback, but they still last a very long time, so I continue to bend them the way I like. I even prefer a book with the binding broken up a bit.

how I hold my books all depends on how I am sitting.
if I am on my tummy, then the book is usually balancing on a pillow in front of me. if in the tub, I hold it with both hand and high up.
if I am sitting up right then it depends if the book is a paper back or hardcover.
When i sit down to read I Tend to read for HOURS non stop so i have to adjust how I am sitting a lot.

I hold books with both hands and open them up but slightly bend the longer edges inwards and it stops them from folding/bending fully and doesn't ruin the spine either!

I used to like holding my paperbacks open using one hand, but then my thumb started cramping up and I had to stop. Now I just hold a book open with both of my hands. I do the same with my Kindle, since it has a cover that resembles a leather-bound book.

I have to be crouched with the book on my knees. Either in bed or on the floor against the wall.

I read it with one hand usually when I lay on my bed and I put the back of my book on the surface of my bed and hold the other half with my one hand.

I like to hold both sides of the book in both hands laying on my stomach. then later I'll hold it in just one hand.

With paperback I usually roll them back, I now this ruins them and I always feel bad when I'm done but its a habit I can't break.
