Do you picture actors in your mind when you read?

I like to imagine the people of the book but I like to see the actor or picture of a person on the from cover to trigger and clear a picture in my mind.

I dont really SEE the characters. I just sort of....imagine them, unless there was a picture of them on the cover or I seen the movie first. Like, Adrian ,from Bloodlines, I never really saw him in my head. I just.... Thought of a figure that my brain recognized as Adrian. If that makes sense.

No, I usually get a picture in my head based off of the writer's descriptions. However, whenever I read the Harry Potter or Lord of the Rings books, I get images of the actors that portrayed them in the movie versions!

Yes! always and even if you picture someone while you are reading did you know that that is actually a real person that you have seen before? Same with dreams. Even if you don't recognize the person in a dream or that you just imagine, you have actually seen them! Your mind remembers the person subconsiously

Sometimes I do picture actors and actresses. Quite often though I put myself and the people I love in the stories. That could be why I have such a hard time when the story ends.

Oh yeah, I do, Like when reading divergent I pictured Oliva Wilde playing tris but Shay did good, i did however picture shay as Hazel Grace in the fault in our stars.

It depend on how well the person is described, like if I think the description sounds like anyone who immediately comes to mind.
But most of the time, people are always faceless in my head! It's kind of scary actually!

The only time I ever did that is when I first read Lord Of The Rings in 1967. I was thinking it would make a great movie. I pictured actors of the day in different parts, but the only one I remember is Charlton Heston as Aragorn.

I think it would have been. They didnt have the technology back then they could never have made it.

Definitely! (Using the author's description, of course.) Sometimes I also picture people in my real life... which sometimes turns out not so good (as in with Gone Girl... any of my friends/family that I was picturing during that book sort of backfired) lol
