Do you sometimes read so much your eyes hurt?

Sometimes my eyes get sore, and others, I get headaches. Does that happen to anyone else? All I can say, is that I blame the book!

Oh yeah! All the time. When I was younger I was prescribed reading glasses simply because I tend to over strain my eyes reading. My eyes will get bloodshot sometimes... other times I get severe headaches especially right behind the eye. But in time I think I eventually because accustomed to it all because I haven't been bothered with anything like that is a good while. The last time was probably making the transition to doing more reading online and on tablets that I used to. The lighting I think triggered it again... but alas even that I have gotten used to.

Sadly that happens to my husband all the time. I feel bad for him because it takes the enjoyment out of it for him. He envies me my reading ability.

Your husband should make the switch to audio books. I know at first I was like meh audio books seem corny like why not just watch television at that point? But no.. its worth a try. Definitely. Sometimes it can be even more visual and you get more out of it... just depends. Plus, he wont feel left out anymore.

Audiobooks sounded like a cool concept at first but believe me, I fell asleep every time lol

Usually my eyes start getting sore right before I pass out at night onto my book "pillow."

Often when I'm reading for a couple hours straight my eyes feel sore. My grandma says I'm gonna go blind.
