Totally understand! I like big city life. My wife's parents live in the mountains of North Carolina. Middle.Of.Nowhere. Nice place to visit, but after a few days I start going a bit stir crazy.ALynnPowers wrote:I'm at my sister's house which is literally right in the middle of a bunch of cotton fields. There is a pen of pigs across the street and who knows how many cows grazing in the next field over. It's a nice place to visit, but I'm already ready to head back to the city, and I have only been here for two days.

You gotta go and eat one of those pigs or cows. That'll make you more comfortable in the rural setting for sure!ALynnPowers wrote:I'm at my sister's house which is literally right in the middle of a bunch of cotton fields. Went to "meet" the pigs today, and apparently they loved me and followed me around everywhere (perhaps they could sense that I was born in the year of the pig). Then my sister informed me that two certain ones were in the small pen because they were about to go to slaughter. I was kind of depressed after that.rssllue wrote:You gotta go and eat one of those pigs or cows. Hahaha.. but I am not back in my biggest city on earth, and I love it... except the pollution here is noticeable. It's harder to breath.

I know, right. That's why everyone here wears masks, I think. Plus the air is drier. So the mask helps a lot with that.rssllue wrote:Not cool. Breathing is important!
