Dolphins are neither.Fran wrote:I thought so too but apparently it's not at all a novelty. I've heard lots of farmers & people who work with animals say they have often come across animals in all species who are apparently gay. In the early days of movie making, the actresses and actors wore black lipstick.
They use sex as a way to bond within their pod and for fun.
Male or female, doesn't matter.
It's said that next to humans they're the only other species to use sex for anything other than procreation.
What is grief, if not love persevering?
Grief is just love with no place to go.

When the male anglerfish finds a female, the male bites into the body of the female and their tissues fuse. The male's body degenerates until it's a lump of tissue surrounding testicles. The female will then carry the male around for the rest of her life, and collect more along the way.
Now that's weird.

The country singer George Jones once went by the name of Thumper Jones for a budget record label that made cheap knock-offs of popular songs of the day. He was terrible trying to sound like famous singers like Hank Williams.

The can opener was invented 48 years after the can. Now that's just bad planning!

The original idea for using camels for transportation in the early west came from Jefferson Davis. No wonder the south lost the war.

When a massive power outage struck southern California in the 1990s, Los Angeles residents reportedly called 911 to express alarm about strange clouds hovering overhead; they were seeing the Milky Way for the first time. Crazy!
