Hello from California

Post by ngosuna »

My name is Angie, I am new to the online community. I joined because I am taking an online course that requires that we get more familiar with an online community of our choice. One of my interest is reading. I love fiction books like the Host, and the twilight series. So far I have not been that successful, do you guys have any tips?

Hello also from the Golden State, what part do you hail from?

So as far as you know, you'd say your literature taste is in?...

Nice, welcome. Thanks for joining, and by the way that sounds like an interesting class, what may it be?

Well to answer to you both, I am from Riverside, super hot yes, the desert. Where are you from?
The class that I am a taking is a technology class where you learn how to integrate technology into a school setting. It is super interesting because they basically make you go outside your comfort zone and learn to use aspects of technology that you are completely unfamiliar with such as blogging, skype and these on line communities. Thanks for taking the time to answer me, hope to hear more. As for the kind of literature I like well, I'm not so advance I've only recently got into reading but enjoy books that keep me wanting to read more. I like Ann Rice and Dan Brown and Tolken but not sure where to go with my interest, maybe you have something you would like to recommend, I am going to have a lot of time in the summer so I'll be sure to get back to you after I read it. :)

Well I live in Chino Hills right now, but I hop around a lot; Rancho Cucamonga, LA, Westchester, Chino, Ontario, Walnut... Haha, you get the point.

So you like fiction-fantasy?
Rice very commonly does vampire books, Brown does a lot of theo, and Tolken a lot of fantasy fantasy...

Perhaps The Elemental series by Mercedes Lackey or The Hollows series by Kim Harrison?
For a taste.

Well, That's nice that you like reading , make it a hobby and you will learn a lot, Try Non-fiction books too for they are good source of reliable and brilliant information. :)

Thank you for sharing. NC huh that is so far away, did you grow up there, how is it? Cali is pretty much the same all year we hardly feel the seasons we I live, I guess there is both a positive and negative, I don't know real weather. Anyways the only non fiction books that I read are school related and you are right there are lots of cool things to learn, but when I read I usually like to escape reality, what suggestions do you have??? Its always good to hear new ideas :)
