Thrift store finds

Post by robind13 »

went thrifting with my boyfriends parents, first a church sale, found two books, "The Lovely Bones" and "A Walk to Remember" then went to a thrift store and picked up "Caesar's Way". All books I've been wanting to read and each was only 50 cents. Today was a good day, now I'm off the continue crocheting the blanket I'm making and do some reading. Have a good day! :D

Haha. You sound like me. There really isn't anything greater than thrift store and garage sale book finds. Usually it's like a nickel to $1, and not only do I always end up with the best sellers.. but I am exposed to all kinds of different things I wouldn't usually consider. I especially love finding earlier editions. I've scored some LOTR original paperback editions (now that was some questionable cover art), pretty much all classics from Jane Austen to 1984, and I especially love scoring study Bibles and/or Bible reference books (which are usually 'hella' expensive). I mean.... combine the love of books and bargain shopping... its kind of a win-win.

Hope the rest of your day went just as well!
