That's WHY my TOYOTA topped every car I've ever had re " performance ",

My l'il joke was that for every Jag sold, they should throw in a FREE Toyota, ya know, sorta like a " two-pack "

My mechanic told me that if everyone had a Toyota, he'd be out of business...

Ive had a couple Toyotas, never had any problem with them. Easy to work on, and parts didnt cost an arm and a leg.

Ive heard of that. I imagine a lot of rich people have it done.

Back to cars. Worst car I ever had was a 1965 Canadian Chevy. Good looking car, but was junk. First week I had it the rear end went out. About a month later the linkage for the gear shift went out. Couldnt find parts for it anywhere so I had to have parts made for it. The engine was a 230 Canadian and wouldnt pull the hat off your head and started burning oil after a while. In cold weather it would not start unless it was pushed. The paint job must have been an Earl Sheib special, it started peeling off. Finally the engine went out completely and I put a 59 Chevy 283 in it, and it ran pretty good after that. But after a couple months or so the motor mount broke and ruined the engine. I said screw it and sold it to a junkyard for 50 dollars, I paid 300 for the car but I was glad to get rid of the pile of junk.

I think it ended up as razor blades.

I had another 65 Chevy that was given to us by my mother-in-law. It was a pretty good car. We drove it for a couple years and finally gave it to my nephew who busted out the windows, stripped it down and put in roll bars and drove it at the stock car races. He won a few races with it, even got an upside-down trophy when he rolled it. That was the end of it after that.
