Agreed. "The Queen of the Damned" was such a good book. It was a shame for the movie to turn out the way it did. I understand directors take certain liberties with films from books but I honestly had no idea what went through the creator's minds. It was bad.Bonnie wrote:"The Queen of the Damned" by Anne Rice is definitively up there. The actors where dreadful and the director couldn't concentrate on one aspect of the book long enough, to lend it at least some profoundness.
And then there's "Timeline" by Michael Crichton. The best part of the book is what's happening with the people who didn't travel in time. But the director ignored that part for most of the film.
