Dream of opening an Coffee Shop?

Post by Krbustillos »

I love finding little coffee shops and going to read. But none at least in my area have grabbed my heart. It makes me dream of opening my own Vintage Coffee Shop with Billy Holiday and Frank playing the background open to all the book lovers of the world. Anyone feel the same?

This all sounds quite idyllic and lovely but dealing with the public will soon turn your dream into a nightmare. For every absolutely wonderful person who comes into your shop there will also be one jerk (Murphy's Law - corollary 12b, subset : coffee shop ownership).

haha yes it does seem ideal, but like Dato said... unfortunately you cant stop jerks from coming in. Unless you made it like an exclusive club or something. Then you could. That is an option. Maybe members apply and pay monthly packages. So you can reject them (this sounds kind of snotty but whatever).. and then offer x amount of drinks (that roll over if not used) and other various perks for the club membership. But then see.. we are quickly getting away from the open to all book lovers in the world hahah.
I love LOVE. <3

Reminds me the story of the sailor who was asked why he joined the navy and he said "when I was a child I used to go down to the docks & I would admire the navy ships - how well maintained & impressive the always looked. I liked how the decks were always scrubbed 'till the were spotless .... Now I know who scrubs them".
