Hi!!!

Post by Latinreader »

Hello Everyone!

I'm a female, 18 years old and I'm an avid reader from Argentina. I was looking for a forum in english about books in order to improve my language skills and when I saw this forum I found it amazing.

I've been reading since I have memory and I love it. I read almost everything that gets in my way but I feel most attracted by fantastic stories, cientific essays (especially when they are related to biology and enviromental management) and, nowadays I'm rediscovering classics.

My favourites writers are:
J. K. Rowling, Carlos Ruiz Zafón, Paulo Coelho, Isabel Allende, Oscar Wilde, Edgar Alan Poe, among others.

I want to learn about poetry (I'm not too keen on it and I haven't received appropiate lessons about it in my school so I'm trying to learn more about poets and different poems so as to see if I get interested) and foreign writers (the books that come here are only a few in comparison to those that are published worldwide and I found it interesting to discover other books, I live near an international bookstore so I can ask for them there).

I hope that this little introduction helps you and I'm thrilled to start making new acquaintances that share the same likes!

If anyone finds any mistake please tell me, I'm learning and being corrected is also a way to improve my english and learn more.

Which books that he wrote have you read ?

I've read everyone but September Lights. And my favourites are: The shadow of the wind and Marina.

Hi Latinreader & welcome
As you are from Argentina I wondered have you read 'A Quiet Flame' by Philip Kerr ... much of it is based in Argentina.

Good Luck in the World Cup!
