Short hand and abbreviations.

Post by L Brox »

This isn't educational or inspiring - just a bit of a rant more than anything.

I am still considered a 'youngster' I guess. I grew up in the 90's when technology really started to develop and take a firm grasp on the world. I am somewhat educated in how to read and write in the English language but lately I am seeing more and more people using abbreviations for literally every word imaginable and writing things in short hand and it genuinely makes me cringe.

I see people my age and younger on Facebook and other social network sites and their spelling and grammar are atrocious and even people much older than me doing the same. Just wondering if anyone else has the same sort of cringe factor or if it's just me being a bit pedantic? :shifty:
