I cannot remember if I posted here. I did not get the job :( It was a small town where there was no diversity. Not something I really want in my life at the moment. They are all pretty racist there, as a liberal, I would not do well - yeah I am white, but I am very open minded.

I agree heartily Linda. We have an office redneck in my job, and he constantly spouts narrowminded pap. Despite being surrounded by immigrants, refugees and now we've moved to the new building, the section of local government that aid all of the minority groups (aged, youth, refugees and immigrants, disabled etc etc).

I'm struggling to be happy today, I've got the flu. I feel yucky!

I'm going to Philedalphia tomorrow and wont get back until Sunday. Also my birthday is coming up (next thursday - May 31st) so it will take a lot to diminish my spirits at this point.

Today I subbed at the county shelter for kids. I got to see one of my students that I subbed for a couple days last year. He was in protective custody because his parents were caught manufacturing meth and distributing. I am never happy to see a kid I know there, but he was a doll when I met him and he still is. He gets a foster family in a few weeks. He talked a lot more today than yesterday and he was very good for us at school. :D

yesturday was really cool because i got out of school at 10:30. It was our senior awards assembly and i got two scholarships. That is pretty exciting.

After the assembly me and a friend of mine went out to lunch at a chinese place and then we went to the book store beucase they were having their sidewalk sale and the books were 25 to 60 percent off. I also took some books in for some store credit. So i paid like fourteen bucks or seven books. it was cool.

I'm finally starting to get over this flu. Not 100% yet, but at least I'm not in constant pain anymore! It's amazing how good normal feels after you've been sick.

I hope you feel better Sleepy!

I'm happy because I did ok in an exam I had today. Alas, I did not do great, but oh well, my grade was decent.

I also went to the city's museums, something I did 10 years ago, hahaha, but wanted to unwind after the exam, so I decided to be a tourist for the rest of the day. I got very cool postcards from one of the stores to share in postcrossings.

Oh, and I got a postcard from Malaysia! The first of many I hope!
Be nice to me! English is not my native language. :)
