Oh hell yeah! If the book is that good, you bet that sleep certainly falls to the wayside. Who can sleep when engrossed in a book? I know I can't. I'll stay up till the wee hours of the morning reading.

No I feel as if I can try to read during the day and that way I find myself not curious to keep going, cause it would keep me up.

Yes of course! I used to read under the blanket with a torchlight after my parents turns off the light when i was young... now i don't do that anymore. I carry the book up into my bed, and there i stay reading and reading on until i finished it no matter how many hours past bedtime it is. I am often totally engrossed while reading and cant stop to do anything else, not even to eat. I always get scolded by my mum because i would read while eat at the same time and i will have my book with me wherever i go if i haven't finish it.

As a kid, all the time - not so much now that I am a working woman, but occasionally I will do it (I have to be firm with myself if I have to work the next day).

I would always stay up when I was younger if I was completely immersed in a book, even to the point of reading under my covers with a torch. Now I am more strict as I work, but if its a good book... it is very hard to stop.

There have been quite a few books that I've done this with. I know with the Harry Potter series, I had to eat and read at the same time because I just couldn't put them down. Until the sixth one where I literally threw the book down and almost didn't pick them back up, but that's a topic for another day.

Definitely reading first!!! When I was a kid, I was always getting in trouble when my mom caught me staying up late and reading under the covers with a flashlight.

Oh gosh, all the time. I thought every reader did this. Sometimes I'll read for so long and get so tired, I give myself a headache, and still I read.

As recently as last night! I've always been a reader.. I never was attracted to TV. I have a very stressful life, and find myself picking up a book every night to wind down before bed. I often loose track of time and have to force myself to get some sleep!

I've done that before. My mom came in and keep saying turn off the lights. I said just this last page and ended up saying that throughout the night until I fell asleep.

Yes, definitely!! Usually I read before bed. Sometimes I end up staying up much later than expected because I can't put the book down!
