I would also have been reluctant to pick up this "kind" of book. But I am so pleased that I was able to enjoy this beautiful piece of art! It was so well done it seems to me that it is destined to become a classic. I just hope this gem doesn't get lost in the ocean of mediocre drivel out there in the book market. Just remember that I said it first.

I'm about 75% finished with this! So far, it's so cute! Corey totally reminds me of me when I was a kid, except she's more outspoken than I was at that age (I was like a hermit) and way less of a drama queen. And the relationship between her and her mom is way different than how I was with my mom. Okay, maybe we're not as alike as I thought. 8) Anyway, I still like her. :)

Hey, everyone. Thanks again to everyone who has read my book and shared their honest thoughts. I greatly appreciate it, and it has been a thrill!

***This book should be available for Nook by the end of the week at the latest***

I'm working on it as we speak. Thank you for bearing with me. Feel free to contact me with any questions! I'll post back when it's up and add a link through the product page. :-)

OK, I'm sorry. The Nook thing isn't going very well. Error message after error message, and I haven't gotten a live person who could help yet. AARGH! But stay posted. It should happen eventually.

This is a great review! I agree with all of the above comments...although I'm a little to old for YA; I was a huge fan of the Babysitters Club ;)

It's good to see that there are good books available like this one for youth of this age to enjoy. It sounds like it is very positive and covers a lot of things that youth of this age can encounter, with solutions to their problems that aren't depressing and parental figures who are positive reinforcements in their lives. I would like to write books for middle school youth so I am putting this book on my reading list as one to try to learn from.

Great review! I just got around to reading this book. I can kick myself because I wish I had read it sooner. I really enjoyed getting to know all of these characters. This is such a great example of good, quality writing. I loved it. I really do hope that there are other books in the making.

I was very found of Babysitter's Club when I was younger and this sounds like it may be a very interesting book to get some oif my younger family members into (though the oldest is 7, so may have to wait a few years on that end). I may download it and read it myself as I have friends who have young kids (and also a few who teach English in Middle School) who may be interested in it as well.

Great review! It sounds like an interesting book. I was shy in middle school.

Such a helpful review! I have difficulty wading into the waters of YA literature myself, but want to read key pieces from the genre so I can recommend books to young friends. I will pick this one up!
