I was in Disney 2 years ago and had the craziest weather experience- at least craziest while I was outside. We were at the wilderness lodge waiting for our bus to go to the magic kingdom. It was me, my mom, my dad, my brother, and our grandmother. All of a sudden 3 out of the 5 of us get tornado warnings on our phones and to take shelter immediately. We were staying at the campground so we didn't know where to go-we could see shelf clouds rapidly heading our way and wouldn't have made it into the wilderness lodge in time so we were all just like a deer in headlights. We ran the overhang at the bus stop and just tried to take cover behind giant poles. We were all trying to put out ponchos on in 50mph winds and torrential downpour. The ponchos were blowing away and we were all completely soaked and holding onto these poles for dear life. A bus pulled up and my dad looks up and screams "I don't care where its going, get on that bus!" We all run (including my grandmother-she's a trooper) full speed to this bus. We get on and the driver luckily was headed back to the campground but said he couldn't go anywhere yet because the rain was too bad. When it finally cleared up enough for him to drive he dropped us off at the campground but then we had to run about 30 capsites to get to ours! We jumped in the motor home and rode out the storm. When it was over there was a tree down right next to my parents tent not even 2 ft away. We were all soaked and couldn't go to magic kingdom that day. We also got word that they had shut the parks down. I was also in hurricane sandy-we lost our pool but that's it. The disney storm was one of the coolest days of my life-great family memory.

Yes, wind storms count!! We had one in Louisville several years ago and it was exciting!
