Of course, what a silly question... I did it just last night and after what I read, I wasn't even upset about it when i had to wake up at the wee hours of the morning! My boyfriend says I have a problem.

I sure have! The first book I did it with was Harry Potter as a kid and have been known to be awake well into the night to finish a book (much to the annoyance of my fiancé!!) But sometimes you just can't put them down!!

Yes, it happens all the time and even when it doesn't I usually end up sleeping instead of reading because I'm an insomniac and I ain't got nothing else to do than read plus who wouldn't spend countless hours of nothingness reading?!

Only happened when I was young, and if I was reading hardcover editions, just because they were just too heavy to lug around!

Nowadays, as I age, sleep is more important!

I do that all the time. I've recently read Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte, and I couldn't put it down for more than a few minutes.

I try to plan reading certain book and certain topics for times when I can spend the night reading and not have to pay too high a price for it in the morning. I hate being sleepy when I still need to get up and do something productive the next day. I usually have something productive to do the next day.
If I have work or school the next day I will usually be spending the night before reading through something for educational purposes. However, there are times when the lure of a newly purchased book will be more than I choose to resist. Then, I just count the cost and make a night of it. If I'm going to be tired I might as well have a nice cup of tea and enjoy the night.

This is definitely something that I used to do far more than I do now. I find that as I get older and different responsibilities start to pile up, it is not beneficial for me to sacrifice sleep in order to complete a book. The desire is definitely still there, but the more I try to be a balanced person the less availability I have for this kind of thing. As ridiculous as it sounds, it would be kind of fun to plan for a night where I do this so that there are no responsibilities hinging on my wakefulness the next day!

I've actually done this several times. When it is the weekend and I know I have nothing going on the next day, there is nothing better than completely immersing myself in a good book. Sometimes I convince myself I'll go to bed when the chapter is over but I usually end up stopping only because I fell asleep rather than willingly put the book down.

Just recently, I was up half of the night reading Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers. I wasn't expecting to like it that much, but once I got into it, I couldn't put it down lol. After about two or three in the morning, I finally told myself that it was time for be lol :)

As a teenager I often couldn't stop reading a book I liked. From under my bedroom door, you could see lights on at night. Whenever I heard one of my parents walking past my room, I'd put out the light until things were quiet again and I could continue reading. Often I'd end up finishing it during the night, sometimes being at 2 or 4 in the morning. Then I'd try to get at least some sleep before having to get up and travel to school.

Nowadays, I rarely do that. I try to get the needed sleep. It's bad for your health if you don't have enough sleep.

I have never done partially because my parents won't let me but I could picture myself doing that.
