This short novella takes place in the drought ridden Oklahoma Panhandle in 1894. Dry, Dusty, and dying Oklahoma farm. Water was precious and disappearing on the farm of the Wagners.
And if life wasn’t bad enough, the eldest Wagner daughter Harlee, fell down the almost empty family water well; when she awakens, she was very much alone in a covered well. This story has the mystery of Harlees missing family, Logan the hero of the story, Logan’s mother who just happens to be Harlee’s idea of the mother from hell, and of course romance.
A lot is packed into this short book, the story moves along well and the plot kept me interested. I found it enjoyable and recommend this for a lazy day read to anyone that enjoys a clean mystery romance.
