Can We Guess Your Personality Based On Your Taste In Books?

Post by Jolyon Trevelyan »

A quiz

buzzfeed.com/eleanorbate/can-we-guess-y ... .ftoqWRedO

I got: The Bookworm
It’s impossible to tie you down to one specific genre, and “What’s your favorite book?” is the most difficult question you could be asked. You’re known amongst your friends and family for your love of reading, and you love nothing more than curling up with a cup of something deliciously warming and a new book.

What did you get ?
A mistake is simply another way of doing things

Okay, I took the silly poll, haha. I got "The Classic."

But I HATE the Harry Potter question. I have never read Harry Potter and I'm quite sure I never will. So I am proudly not any character from the books, because I don't know any of them. I just randomly picked somebody.

I got "The Classic" also. But like PashaRu I've only read an occasional chapter of Harry Potter to my niece when I used to babysit her so
I just picked a character at random also.
I think a perusal of someone's bookshelves tells a lot more about the person than this quiz but it's a bit of fun I guess.

I got "The Daydreamer" and there was a picture of Rapunzel, my favorite Disney princess!!! This is the greatest day of my life.

I'm obviously easy to please.

Or I've just had a really sad life.

>>The Daydreamer
Fantasy is where you find your happy place. Getting lost in a story about magical worlds and mythical creatures is what you love the most. Your friends will often find you zoned out and daydreaming, and your imagination and creativity is what you’re known for!

Okay, let me  with you. Since I am completely ignorant on the subject, who is this Dumbledore of which you speak (it already sounds like an insult), and why am I SOOOOOO him? (He looks old and decrepit.)

:angry-tappingfoot:

I'm waiting.

P.S. The Classic: "You love nothing more than curling up with a classic novel and getting lost in it. Whether it be romantic, gothic, or modernist, the best part about classics is that there are so many to choose from, and you’ve read an awful lot of them! That’s why people always come to you for book recommendations."

The picture is (I think) Keira Knightley from Pride and Prejudice, reading a book. Blah.

Whatever. This is almost as bad as horoscopes.

I got the Daydreamer. YAY if @ALynnPowers got it I must be on to something good. :D

I didn't mind the Harry Potter questions. I enjoyed the novels and the movies. Based on how popular they are I can see how a silly quiz would choose to use it as part of their deciding mechanism. I wanted to lie and say I was Hermanie but I know in my heart I am not that driven. I am more of a Ron... well intentioned, brave but a bit clumsy. And, now you know all of my secrets. :o

Dumbledore is a fantastic character...if Alynn thinks you're like Dumbledor...be very flattered.
It means she thinks you're intelligent, kind, courageous...
And while Dumbledor wasn't infallible , the mistakes he made were because he loved too greatly.
Like I said...flattered.

Thanks Gravy! Uh, I guess I'm...flattered.

@ALynnPowers....

So just to verify what Gravy said, I need to hear it from you...

Umm...do you really....[shyly kicking the ground with my feet, afraid to look you in the eye]...do really think that I'm...you know....intelligent, kind, courageous....and that I....that I....love too much?

I was thinking of Dumbledore as this all-knowing, wise yet humble man. But then he'll just be randomly kooky and be like, "Ooh! Jellybeans!"

I got the Free Spirit. I don't know if that's a good thing.

Pasha, Dumbledore is so wonderful. You should be proud. :)
