I love the library! If my library doesn't have it, then I'll buy it (usually on my nook). I wouldn't be able to afford my reading habit if I had to buy every book I wanted to read!

I prefer owning books rather than getting them from the library because I like to write notes in my books and not worry about when I have to have them read by.

I hate to admit this since I am a librarian, but I prefer owning. Although, I read mostly e-books so I'm trying to use overdrive to borrow e-books from the library more frequently. It's just too easy to download from Amazon to my Kindle!!

I read ebooks and now you can check them out online. Even though it is much cheaper to use the library, I still prefer to buy them online. This way I don't have to worry about how much time I have left to read the books.

I used to prefer owning my books. However, I have found that most times I do not re-read most books I purchase - mainly because I have so many others I would like to read. So, now I prefer to use the library as much as I can. If there are books that I read from the library that I would like to read again, then I wouldn't mind purchasing them, since I know I really like them.

Definitely owning. I'm pretty possessive of my books, I need to have them indefinitely.

Own. I like to have all my books so that if I want too, I can just pick one up and start reading.

I'm all for the library. I know that doesn't put money in author's pockets, but I'm not the kind of person who rereads the same books, even my favorites. The cost of new books isn't budget-wise. And used books aren't always in the greatest condition. Generally, I enjoy the process of going to the library and find it a crucial part of my reading experience. Even if they don't have the book I'm looking for, I can check other libraries in the city and have the book sent over to the one closest to me. I've owned plenty of books in my time, but don't have most of them anymore. To me, the library is convenient and cost-effective.

I do prefer to own my own books. However, if there is a certain book that I want to read but I am not sure that I want to own, then I go for the library books. I also do the library books if I want to try out some new authors. If I like the author though, then I just start buying their books.

Owning. I often read the parts of the books in the library, and I most times I feel a strong desire of possessing the book myself.

Owning by far!! And I always preferred the actual book as oposed to ebooks. However I must admit due to the space of my apartment I spend a lot more time at the library. I actually have no space for books and to be honest not a lot of money to spare (travelling is a priority so I move around a lot). Libraries are definitely the next best thing and I would never hate on them considering I do go alot

Owning!
I used to love going to the library when i was younger but i would end up borrowing the same books over and over so i decided that if i spent the money and actually bought the books then they would always be there. A house doesn't feel like home to me without my books.

I prefer to own simply so that I can go back at any time. I also want to increase my bookshelf, but the library is more practical. Especially if you don't actually like the book that you decided to read. I honestly wish I visited the library more often.

Preferably own but my husband bought me an e reader so they don't take up space. So now I would buy actual books if I absolutely love them. I hope to have a house someday that has a full blown library, I would be in heaven.

Id rather own. If I connect with the book chances are Ill be re-reading and don't want to take the chance someone else has decided to read it. Also, I don't want other people stains on something Im reading(it drives me insane).
