The After Series By Anna Todd - my review

I recently picked up "After" off a discount table in Barnes & Noble. Once I began the book, I simply couldn't put it down, as soon as I finished After I had to read the rest of the series. I finished the following 3 books in quick succession.

The After Series is the story of Tessa & Hardin. Tessa is just beginning her freshman year in college when she meets Hardin. They are as opposite as can be but as romance novels go they of course end up together. I felt that the beginning of the story progressed as I expected for the most part, there were some twists and turns that I had not anticipated though.

What I liked:
I loved the realness of the characters, I felt that their struggles were real life issues, and things that are very difficult to face and especially work through in a relationship.
I loved their intense need for one another and the passion that came with it.
The story was well written and flowed well.

What I didn't like:
I did at some points feel that the story was becoming monotonous and drawn out, but perhaps I was just being impatient for the ending that I wanted.

I would recommend this series to readers who enjoy the bad boy, good girl type romance, this series is not as graphic as the Fifty Shades of Crossfire series.
