Hi, I'm new to this site and looking for book recommendations and discussions! I'm interested in classics (I feel woefully under-read in this area) and fun, light reads too. No vampire stories or gory crime stories please! I'll be reading other posts and checking out the forums, and hope I'll find some good info. :)

Birds&music ... Welcome & nice to have another fan of the Classics on the site.
I'm currently listening to a download of George Eliot's 'Daniel Deronda' ... it was the last novel she completed & so far Gwendolen is keeping me entertained on my daily walks. I'm a fan of George Eliot since my schooldays when 'Silas Mariner' was on the required reading list - I reread it earlier this year & loved it even more.
