Hello, well obviously I'm new here, my name is Emily and I'm a prospective English BA student, full time chef and absolute book nerd.

I joined because I need some great book recommendations, interesting new authors, what's going on in fiction world at the moment, my bookshelf needs some serious updating.

I love classic 20th Century literature-one of my favourite novels being 'The Bell Jar' , I also like 'A Catcher In The Rye' , 'Animal Farm' , 'A Brave New World' 'Naked Lunch' and most of Hunter S. Thompson's works.

So, can't wait to join in discussions.
