I had one in third grade for my whole Scholastics collection. That may be when I got it, 'cause we moved into that house the year before. So, second grade. Although in ninth grade, when I was out of town on the high school marine biology trip, my mom remodeled my room (in a different house) for me, and when I came back, I had two new bookshelves which I still have. That was very nice of her, and it was quite exciting, 'cause I didn't know she was doing it until I came home.

How old were you when you first started to collect your books in a meaningful way?

Well, I'm not remotely physically active, unless you count taking walks, but I took ballet from ages 4-14 and was definitely active then!
