What is the last movie you saw, and rating?

I saw Mary and Max last night, an adult based claymation.
It was surprisingly amusing and dark at the same time, but did actually bring attention to some important themes and social issues.

I say... 8/10.

I love Edward Norton, that movie is pretty dang cool haha.

I saw Eat, Pray, Love yesterday. It wasn't too bad, Italy was definitely the best. I must say, I can see my cousin being kind of like that in real life... but it was an interesting role. And Julia Roberts looked old in one scene, and young in another... Haha.

And I also saw The Notebook for the first time yesterday.
It was soo not what I was expecting... I thought it was going to be all sad, but no, it wasn't. I hated that they didn't tell more of the story of Noah and Allie when they were younger, it just seemed to cutoff. and the ending was predictable but seemingly dry. It was romantic, where was the sad factor?

Oh be sure to read it, Mairin, if you like the movie! It's amazing.
I honestly havent decided which one i like more... Book or movie?
They're both addictive.

I'm watching UP! and so far... it's pretty depressing! I was expecting fun and tra-la-la-ing and instead it just keeps getting darker...

I guess we'll see how it ends before i judge it, eh?

So many Disney ish movies have depressing themes haha. If not for the pretty colors and animations... I think little kiddies would just kiss their lollipop guns!

I saw District 9, Life as a House and something else that I don't remember...
District 9 was, interesting at most really. Life as a House was also interesting haha, though I liked Hayden Christensen's character and think he played it quite well.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows... last week, and I have to say I loved it D: finally, a movie that's actually closer to the book and has SOME good acting, gosh xD.

I watched "Easy A" the other day and i'm still not sure how i felt. The idea was good... but something about the movie just reminded me of "Mean Girls" and made me mad. Maybe that's just me? I wouldnt say it was bad, i just never want to see it again.

Over the weekend, I had the chance to watch Eat Pray Love.

Given its insane top seller status as a book, it makes sense that the film receive a huge blockbuster adaptation. I originally viewed its release as a negative, and figured that the adaptation wouldn't do the book justice. Very soon though, I found myself warming up to the film, feeling more than satisfied to watch Julia Roberts as Liz. I thought she did a great job. Likewise, the all-star supporting cast members did an excellent job. My fav character from the film was by far "Richard from Texas," who she meets in India (played by Richard Jenkins, one of my favorite actors).

One thing in particular that struck me was the film's score. I thought it was scored beautifully. The cinematography was also beautiful. It obviously helps that you're filming on location in various paradise destinations.

Overall, I was very satisfied with the film (8/10) and I would definitely recommend it to anyone considering watching.

I also saw Eat, Pray, Love but now that there were some slight but also major variances from the book. I still enjoyed it though.

I watched Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows and though I think they did a stellar job with upping the effects and visuals, I'm not a Harry Potter fan so it was just a movie to me...

I did however see Tangled 2 days ago and have to say I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed it haha.
Pascal, man, gotta love that little "frog." Haha. 9/10.

I just finished watching Jodhaa Akbar. A beautiful Hindi film about the Muslim Emperor Akbar the Great and the Hindu Princess Jodhaa. Everything from wars with elephants as weapons (brilliant i might add...) to acceptance of all religions to understanding the power of different people down to absolute romance. Absolutely breathtaking during most of the movie. The rest rather reminded me of Kung Pow...haha. I didnt really like the "music video" parts of the movie.. but i understood why they were there especially considering where it was placed. Something amazing.. Hindi music it breathtaking enough on it's own... but once you actually understand what they're saying it becomes so much more beautiful. Bless whoever cameup with the idea for English Subtitles.
I give it a 8/10 for the kung pow parts, 6/10 for the "mv" moments, and a 10/10 for the actual lovey dovey parts of the movie (My favorite part by far...

). heehee...

Dee- If your not into Harry Potter than your not actually going to understand what's going on therefore the movie would just be a movie to you. I love Harry Potter... i liked the movie. The book was better...of course... but the movie wasnt that bad. You have to get the inside parts of the story to get the whole damn thing. haha.

This I know and accept, haha, I tried reading the books but just couldn't quite get into them. So I accept that I don't understand everything and that the movie is just a movie to me, but all the same since I love movies I appreciate the effects and acting type things.

I found Starship Troopers!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I watched that movie when I was possibly 8 and loved it to death but alas, never knew its name... Then I saw it a couple years later, and still didn't know its name... And after thinking about it the other day, I amazingly opened Netflix and there it was! Thank you mind reading movie gods and Netflix peoples!!! I quite sincerely love you.

I watched The Bounty Hunter yesterday, it was a good laugh, but nothing THAT special... I did however love Nicole's mum and the reason for why Nicole had to go to court anyhow. Though I will not share in fear of spoiling... I say, oh about a 6-7/10.

I saw that Bounty Hunter last week on dvd and i thought it was badly cast. I know these comedies are a bit of fluff but Jen Aniston and Gerard Butler are over 40 and were delivering juvenile lines that would sound bad from a 10yr old, plus it dragged on too long, my own rating for that is 4.5 out of 10!

Eh, to each his own Mike. I think I was in more of a good mood which made it seem better haha.

I started watching It Happened One Night yesterday and now Chris is going to watch it with me. It's in 1934 with Clark Gable and Claudette Colbert, for some reason I found it very amusing even though I know there weren't that many funny parts haha.

I must say, even if there's just the slightest bit of romance in it and a full on action movie, I think classics are the most romantic movies out there. Even a one non meant to be romantic I think is more romantic than today's romance movies.

Did you ever watch Bandwagon? Its a great movie about a theater group trying to get there play out there. It also had a nice little romance in it.
