Does anyone know a good program to convert book formats. I prefer to read things in pdf so I'm not stuck in one app or device.

I have had some success using a program called Calibre. It was a free online download. It took me a while to get used to the program, but it is rather comprehensive and useful. Their website has a lot of information about the program, so you can research it before you commit to downloading it. I've been using the program for approximately two years and I love it.
