I'm pretty bad, I dog ear books...but only the ones I own! I typically use a piece of scrap paper or mail to mark library or family/friends books though.

I use to do that too so don't feel bad.

I currently use index cards. I used to use Post-It notes (smallest). Stick them next to the paragraph you left off with.

I use the free bookmarks offered by the public library but they are cheap paper ones which don't hold up. I do want something personalized though that is sturdier.

I sometimes use the reserved laminated bookmark the library sticks into my book if I reserved them. Otherwise I have my metal bookmark that has the 50 Books to Read Before You Die list on it. I also use a curved metal one that has a lovely dog charm on it.

I love bookmakrs. I have quite a small collection. I tend to get bored easily with the one I have.
Right now, my current bookmark is my horoscope (Cancer. its cute- where you can fold the bookmark that has a magnet at both ends, you can place it inside the page and they stick together.

I sometimes make my own custom bookmarks :D I draw on them and design them. It's pretty fun to do if you like art and books.

I like to use souvenir book marks that you buy when visiting castles, museums, zoos etc, they are usually made of leather and they last a long time.

I sometimes use the cards with the paint "chips" that you can get in the paint department. I am ashamed to admit that I have been known to dog ear the page. With my Kindle I don't have to worry about it. It opens right to wear I left off.

My girlfriend just picked me up a holographic bookmark from A.C. Moore's this afternoon with a dragon on it.

I use photos, reciepts, pizza vouchers, whatever comes to hand. A bookmark collection sounds pretty cool though.

Reading a library book this morning & I came across a bus drivers payslip ...... how casual people are with their personal identity information! I'm a good samaritan so I put it through the shredder.
