What IS NaNoWriMo?

You might've heard of what this is, and you might've seen your friend almost go missing for the month of November. And when you ask your friend where they were, they could've told you they were at the library, coffee shop, or enjoying the sunshine outside.
Or, that they had just typed out 1,667 words on their laptop, and it looks like your friend has blood shot eyes. Sound familiar? That was me this past fall, and I am proud to say I survived November with 50,001 words. Now, let me explain.
NaNoWriMo stands for National Novel Writing Month, and for thirty days you let your creative self go to work during ninety percent of your spare time, and you write. That's how you win. You write.
Yes, there are rules and such, and it can be stressful. I enjoyed the last day blissfully because I was able to write an extra three hundred words ahead of schedule! I had to put away reading for a month, but I had an entire writing community online and in person to support me during the process!
