I figured romance novels were not your cup of tea anyway.PashaRu wrote:Good writing is one thing. Overly flowery, pace-killing description is quite another. There are very few writers who can pull it off and still keep things interesting. Thanks for a thorough review. I won't be adding this to my TBR list any time soon, haha.

Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment. It's always interesting to learn about the inspiration for a book.suekrawitz wrote:I don't believe that my novel contains too much "overly flowery descriptions." I believe in writing that uses all five senses, enabling the reader to feel they are right there in the scene. It was also professionally edited through the publisher. That being said, I know not everyone will enjoy my work. I have a thick skin. I am not offended. Because truly, I wrote this book for one person. His Kate is very personal to me. It is a fictionalized account of my experience falling in love with someone I could never be with. This happened in 1997 and I remember everything as if it were yesterday. The pain that Kate feels is my pain. It was cathartic to write the first draft, which I completed in 2008. I took many years off in between, raising two young children, but knew in my heart I had to edit and publish it, as a testament to a love I still feel, will always feel.
