Who are your favorite music artists?

Who are your favorite music artists?

Mos Def is my favorite artist. I also like Common, Talib Kweli, Immortal Technique, and Sabac. I also have been listening to a lot of Lyfe Jennings lately. Anthony Hamilton is probably my favorite non-rapper, though.

I try to stop myself from posting lyrics, but here's some of Mos Def's lyrics from my favorite song, Thieves in the Night:
Mos Def wrote:Yo, I'm sure that everbody out listenin agree
That everything you see ain't really how it be
A lot of jokers out runnin in place, chasin the style
Be a lot goin on beneath the empty smile
Most cats in my area be lovin the hysteria
Synthesized surface conceals the interior
America, land of opportunity, mirages and camoflauges
More than usually -- speakin loudly, sayin nothin
You confusin me, you losin me
Your game is twisted, want me enlisted -- in your usary
Foolishly, most men join the ranks cluelessly
Buffoonishly accept the deception, believe the perception
Reflection rarely seen across the surface of the lookin glass
Walkin the street, wonderin who they be lookin past
Lookin gassed with them imported designer shades on
Stars shine bright, but the light -- rarely stays on
Same song, just remixed, different arrangement
Put you on a yacht but they won't call it a slaveship

Pink Floyd is great. Another Brick in the Wall is a classic, and I love Comfortably Numb. I like the Beatles too, John Lennon's music is my favorite. Imagine is a great song, and I love Working Class Hero.

I have so many, we could be here for months! Music is one of my passions in life.

Calikim, the RHCP are one of my favourite bands of all time, they've not put out a crap album yet.

Although some may not agree, I do.

I have been lucky enough to see them 5 times.
First time was in the height of the Blood,Sugar,Magic era when the band played nude and Anthony came out and (basically)strips. Ah memories.....
I saw them last winter.
I was jamming out to them today in my car.

Ooh you lucky thing! I've not had the fortune of seeing them live.

One of my favourite live bands (whom I've seen three times) are the Beastie Boys.

Along wth reading, music is a passion of mine. Bands I love are:

The Alarm
U2
Future Kings of Spain
Paddy Casey
Duke Special
Stiff Little Fingers
Black Rebel Motor Cycle Club
Milburn
Reverend and the Makers
The Clash
Jesus & Mary Chain
Bob Dylan

I have a bit of a punk/rock vibe thing going!

I run a website for up and coming bands at www.distantwarning.co.uk (I hope nobody minds me plugging that, if it contravenes the rules then please modify this post).

Atmosphere is awesome. Is he signed to a major label yet? He has a huge following, at least on MySpace.
