I do like being surprised by plot twists in book though so was not disappointed

That's a really good point - I was surprised that no one spoke of her death either...In truth it seems kind of heartless that no one did. I understand confidentiality but it seems like no one was shocked or that they were too busy to even acknowledge the fact that she died.
