Book Boxes

Post by Alylynn317 »

Does anyone have a subscription to any of the book boxes? I know of:

Owl Crate
Uppercase YA box
Litcube
Book Riot
The Book Drop

I am sure there are others, if you know of any more let me know, and if you have any suggestions or preferences I am interested to hear! I have been looking at signing up for one, just not sure which one to pick...

(Sorry if there was already another thread about this, I did not see one so I decided to go for it).

The only one I was familiar with from your list was book riot. When I was reading paper books I subscribed to a site called Booksfree.com. For a subscription fee you could check out, a certain number of books(number dependent of subscription type) which they would mail you. You'd read them at your leisure and then return them via mail in the materials they would send you with the book. sort of like a Netflix for books. I could keep a wish list and when I sent a book back they would automatically send the next book on my list. I used that service happily for years before I got my kindle.

I have heard of Bookroo for children. I looked into it but I prefer shopping the thrift books where I can get more for what they charge. I haven't bothered looking into any other possible book subscriptions, my husband would probably cut my access to the bank cards if I did as I am already out of room for the books I already have. ;)

About book box question. I currently get

Owlcrate, Yureka, Uppercase, Fantasy and scifi, bookcase club, the best damn book box, Parnassus next, and one I'm forgetting.

I also cancelled booklybox, and lircube, and the bookworm box.

My favorite is Yureka, Uppercase, and Parnassusnext
