I started out as a reader. As a kid I would love encyclopaedias but I never read fiction. I stopped reading altogether for a few years and I resumed when I was in 7th grade with phantom of the opera. Since then, I've been a huge reader

I have always been a reader. It started out when I was 4 years old and my grandparents took me every weekend to the library. Since then, I've been on a path of book love, and it hasn't stopped yet.

I've always enjoyed escaping into a great book, and have even found myself lost in books I didn't end up enjoying. I can remember always grabbing a book on my way out the door to read in the car when I was younger. Not only do I enjoy reading to myself but I also enjoy sharing an exciting story with others.

I have loved to read since I learned to read. I enjoy that I can be transported to another place or time with the words on each page.

No. I hated reading when I was younger. I had a teacher in middle school who banned us from reading books like Harry Potter and since that's what all the other kids were reading I just thought reading wasn't my thing. I became a big reader in high school when I, shamefully, fell in love with the twilight saga... I haven't stopped reading since!

I was not always a reader. I read some books here and there like I read Harry Potter in 6th grade and Twilight in 5th grade but I didn't really get into reading until freshman year of high school. I transferred schools so I had to leave all my friends behind. At first I was a very shy and quiet kid so I didn't make friends very easily. My cousin gave me The Mortal Instruments series for Christmas that year and I just fell in love. Ever since I haven't been able to stop.

I actually really disliked reading until I went to college and took a children's literature course for my degree. Who knew I would end up a children's librarian.....

My family certainly says I am! My grandmother used to own a second hand book shop when I was a child and I used it as my personal library. I ended up signing up to be the librarians aid during my junior and senior years of high school.

I've always loved to read. My mother would read to me before I could read on my own. Even before that she said I loved just looking at books for hours. Growing up I always had my nose in a book. There's nothing like a good book.

Absolutely always. From my very first attempts at recognizing individual written words, to the present day, I have loved the adventure of reading.
