Yes, I do. But I still go on reading if the book is very interesting. I usually try to look up and view outside the car once in a while so that helps me feel better.

I cannot read in the car. I cannot even look down for long periods without feeling ill. I never used to be that way. I also cannot sit in the back seat or it is way worse.

Hi there...

I do. It isn't always the same either. I have found a few remedies that seem to help. Ones already mentioned like chewing gum or pretzel sticks. One remedy suggests facing backwards which doesn't help me at all. Believe it or not... earplugs. Reduces background noise and helps focus on the reading content. Also frequent breaks... like every 15 mins or so. At least taking my eyes off the page and moving my head around and looking around a bit... just for a few. Restroom or chat or ??? Hope this helps ;)

Yes I have the same problem, I always get car sick if I try and read in the car. I can't even look a map for very long before I start sweating. I think its kind of strange because my Dad use to read while he was driving, yes you read that right, driving, and he never got car sick.

It depends on the day really. . .it might sound weird, but I'm used to reading and writing facing backwards or sideways in a vehicle because of my career in EMS for 10 yrs. Facing forward becomes a problem sometimes for me instead.

I don't exactly get motion sickness when reading in a car (like I'm not nauseous) but after I've been reading from my phone for about an hour or so, I start to get really dizzy and I feel like a rude person decided to start clobbering me in the head.

Most of the time I can read just fine in the car. Occasionally I will get a headache and not be able to read for an hour or two.

Ugh, unfortunately I have this problem as well. As a kid, I used to be able to read for hours in the backseat, but now I can't go for more than a few minutes without getting nauseous. Haven't found anything that helps either :(

I used to be able to read in the car for hours but now I get sick after about 30 minutes. I guess my body has changed over the last couple of years and I haven't noticed it until recently.

I do not get sick unless I look up & look down back at the book. They do sell sea sickness pills I got at WalMart that worked for me. Over the counter. My daughter tends to get sea sick at times while reading, specially if we travel to Puerto Rico, so many twists and turns and mountains, those worked great for her. I found them near the "Airborne".

I can't even not get sick in the car without reading. I am never going to try. But I remember I did not have problems when I was a child. I wonder why.
