Seems like a cute book. I like the fact that it can be read as a standalone book.

Congratulations to the author for getting a good review!

I will be the first one to admit that I am least romantic person in the world, but the second paragraph of this book pretty much tells me that I would love this story. I love when multiple genres are combines and the focus is not just on the romance. A standalone in a series is also pretty awesome and a pretty amazing feat for an author to accomplish. Personally, I think your negative points wouldn't be so negative for me, so that makes it even more appealing. Thank you so much for the lovely review!

Thanks for your insightful review. I liked the sample and love that there are elements of mystery and suspense elevating it from just a simple romance.

Good review. Second chances are what this life is all about and this book evokes that spirit wonderfully. I'm sure the author probably wrote in the circumstances of their meeting not thinking it that far fetched. Sometimes truth is really stranger than fiction and I'm sure chance encounters happen everyday that no one thinks will ever catch up with them but somehow fate brings that person back into their life so anymore I don't find anything that unbelievable. ?

Great review! I really do enjoy many romance novels, and after reading the sample, this one seems to be right up my alley! What's even better is that the book mixes in other genres, as well!

I love how this book is a standalone story. It has been so long that I have been able to find a good book and so far, this book is really good. I really enjoyed how descriptive the author was -- especially when describing the 4th of July. I found myself having to relate.

Nice review! I'm typically not a fan of romance novels, but the fact that this one isn't full of crazy drama seems a lot more intriguing to me! Since it has such a discount today, it's good to know it stands alone and the first book doesn't have to be read also!
