Laura Nettles owner of Tasteful Events which was a party planner business she had owned for three years was still dreaming about expanding. She just needed a big break. She was still on a tight budget. Her job was to get her clients through and to the event without them pulling their hair out. She gets the break when Meredith Yardley and her son, Chadwick contract with her to help them with their annual charity event. The party planner they hired from Paris backed out at the last minute. The event was to raise money for the local non-profit hospital to build a new pediatric wing. She had to perform a miracle to do, their event after finding out the Hotel Grande had not been booked as they were told by the previous party planner. Harriet at the Hotel mistakenly thinks that Laura is trying to book the hotel for her wedding. I found the characters to be well developed and the story to be an exciting read. There are a few twists and turns for the characters, to give them a challenge. I rated this one a five star rating. I would enjoy reading more works by Kate Goldman.
