I have just started reading this book and I find it very intriguing so far. So far I like the dimensions of the characters. I am anxious to see where this story goes! ?

I liked it but there were things I didn't like. For instance, I couldn't stand the fact that Mae, HIS WIFE, called him "Mister Atkins". Come on, you have seen him naked, gave him children, why not call him by his actual name.

I don't know. I have lived in the south my whole life and I have never heard it. It just seems like there is not any intimacy between them.
