Kilgore Fire Series By Lani Lynn Vale
First book: Shock Advised
Second book: Flash Point
Third book: Oxygen Deprived
Fourth book: Controlled Burn
Now I could go on and on about all of the books apart of this continuing series however I want to let you in on the fourth installment to this great series, Controlled Burn.
The story follows the two people who complete each other in every way imaginable yet the struggles that they face would make lesser individuals tuck tale and run. The main male character is Dean Uriel "PD" Hargrove, for you food lovers you should know which Chef's initials are PD so Im not going to spoil it for those who do not. You should get a laugh, your welcome. Dean is a firefighter and also a member of the Kilgore Swat Team that is also Lani Lynn Vale's third series. The main female character is July Dupree Ames, she is what you would call stubborn, pig headed, and independent but an awesome leading role. She fixes up house's and sells them, all thanks to the trade that yeah, you guessed it, Dean taught her. Unfortunately something's cause couple's butt head's and they end up hurting each other. Isn't love a pain! Through the book the couple faces not one, not two, not even three bout four struggles. The fourth struggle however almost caused the end. No spoilers from me. Well............. here is one sneak peak "The cheers of our friends surrounding us, the woman I loved more than all others.........finally became mine. Forever." Sigh
I rated this book a 5/5 because the story flowed easily, it was such a fun read and had me crying and laughing all at the same time. Not only did the author introduce a new plot from all of her others that still left me mind blown at the end but she still included previous and future character roles to help remind you of the great reads!
So I hoped I may have peaked your interest and I REALLY hope that I did, because I want to share my passion for books and this particular series with anyone who needs just a little escape when your world is going pear shaped. Yes I stole that line from Reese Witherspoon in Sweet Home Alabama.

I have read every book from this series (as well as many of the others written by Lani Lynn Vale).
Have you read the latest with PD? I would love to hear your thoughts on it. I was a little unsure how I felt about it at first when I finished so I'm curious if I am the only one who felt a little unsure about that story. I was just expecting a little more from PD's story.. I feel like I had been waiting forever for it and was just a tad disappointed that it wasn't everything I expected.
