Actually no. In my day we didn't wear hats, shirts with logos, or (perish the thought) tattoos. Oh we might have worn a baseball hat in little league but that was about it.

Yes. Though we never had problems with intruders where we lived my parents believed in being prudent.

I suppose pop music, rock+roll didnt come around until a couple years later
and country music wasnt widely popular at that time. I remember I liked Dennis Day's Clancy Lowered The Boom, some of Bing Crosby's stuff and some of the big bands.
