Some people have some strange places to read at. What is yours?

I like to read anywhere I can find quiet. Mostly I just block out the noise.

Usually in the back of a military CN-235. I spend a lot of time in the air.

I mostly read at home. The strangest place I've ever read was at church while waiting for the sermon to begin; I got some odd looks from people, but perhaps it wasn't the best idea to bring Thomas Harris' "Hannibal" into church with me.

I don't know about strange places, I can sit (or even stand) anywhere and create a reading bubble around me.

Nice fire, glass of wine, feet up & no interruptions.
Failing that poolside in Spain

I mostly read in bed. The strangest place I ever read was next to a alcholic who smelled like hell and didn't stop talking to me though I didn't answer.
And my dream place to read would be a willow at a lake in summer.
I would love to sit with my back to the willow bole on a branch which grew a few metres over the lake. No one around. That'd be perfect.

I'm sorry, but reading that just made me crack up :)
And I agree with your dream place. It sounds beautiful.

As for me I prefer to read a book in the metro wagon. It's rather noisy there, but extremely interesting for reading. 8)

Anywhere. And I read when I go and come back from work or center in a train and I even get annoyed when I meet some friend because I won't be able to read.

Can you walk and read at the same time?
