Yes I believe milk cows are allowed to graze and live a normal life however they get veil from calfs that come from milk cows. Calfs that are to be slaughtered for veil are treated horribly. PLease don't eat veil!!
Okay so then to sort this out...

Bookworm617 is a pescatarian, as in Mairin, Got That Swing is a vegetarian unless she too eats seafood at one point or another, in which case she falls under the same as Mairin. But Got That Swing is like me and though vegetarian, absolutely not vegan for the love of cheese. well, at least cheese in my case... But on your point of chicken's not being harmed by the eggs produced, I say you're an ovo-lacto vegetarian which means you don't eat any meat, but, you consume dairy and animal products that don't come from harming the animal. Example, honey, eggs, milk, cheese, etc...

That help?

And I must say, there are so many more pesca, veg, and vegan type people on here than I ever expected.

Fran, I actually do think about plant life and how I consume them all the time... It's just a catch 21 all around. But, I plant vegetables of my own anyways so I feel a tad balanced haha.

That being said, I absolutely love apricot mango ice cream with fresh hot edamame. Goodness that was one accidental invention I'll love forever.
Ha, now I think I sound pregnant...
But I eat fish. I even used to fish with my dad and I don't mind killing a fish. But it's not totally painless for them, so I just thought the term vegetarian doesn't feel right.

Thai food, I could eat it everyday. Masaman Curry is my favorite and goes perfectly with a glass of Thai tea.

So then Swing you're a pescatarian! and a ruthless one at that! Killing fishies and biting off little carrots' heads! or maybe feet... head sounds more ruthless so let's go with that.

For those of you not in Cali or near an In-N-Out... These are called animal fries, otherwise known as softcore food porn and an orgasm in my mouth:

Fresh cut and fried French fries with melted cheese on signature spread and diced grilled onions on top!

Gravy fries, aka Wet fries from The Hat, are also my favorite, but farther from me so not as often:

There's a Mexican dish called Pollo a la Monterrey... I could eat that for every meal, every day, until I die.

It's a grilled chicken breast covered in cheese, served on a bed of rice, refried beans, lettuce, tomato, and sour cream. If I ever do something bad enough to warrant the death penalty, it's definately going to be my last meal.

Hello friends!

I'm lisa.
I would like to add Bill Buford's book "Heat: An Amateur's Adventures as Kitchen Slave, Line Cook, Pasta-Maker, and Apprentice to a Dante-Quoting Butcher in Tuscany".

My favorite food is my mom's spaghetti and meatballs, when she doesn't try to cut corners to save time!

OR

my homemade guacamole

Very different, but a close call.
