How to request another "editor" read/score review?

Post by Jennifer Allsbrook »

How can a member of the review team request that another editor read and score a review that is already published? Several of my reviews have at least two editor comments but my most recent review only has one. Can a reviewer request additional feedback? Is so, how does it get done? Thanks in advance!

There were likely two editors who made comments and scored the review. From what I remember, the policy is that not all editors' comments are shown; instead, they are displayed randomly. As a result, you wouldn't need to request another set of eyes; instead, you could ask to see the other editor's comments that are already in the system. If the motivation for the request is to have an additional edit/score due to being dissatisfied with your existing score/comments, that sounds more like a grievance. In any event, Scott would be the one to contact.

It should be done privately and not on the open forums. If you have any issue with your score/reviews, please privately contact Scott, the webmaster, about it. :tiphat:

Thanks for the information. I didn't realize that not all editor comments were shown. Constructive criticism is how we improve.
