Interesting views of many people! It looks like we all imagine different forms of immortality. What a great discussion! We can get even more creative about how we want to live if we're going to live forever.

Definitely not. It seems like an extremely lonely and depressing existence. You can't get close to anyone because you know they'll die, you can't make advances in society because eventually someone will accuse you of being supernatural, you'd have to constantly move to keep hidden...

Nope. At first, I thought I would say yes. As I went to type, I decided that it would be boring, painful, and yes, endless.

I don't think that I would want to become immortal. Part of my reasoning is reliant on the fact that my friends and family would age and I would not. That would make me very sad to seem my loved one grow old and die and then I am forever the same. I also think that being immortal would get very tedious and boring after awhile.

What a selfless thought! I'm sure you're serving as much as possible even as a mortal.

I don't think I would honestly. Once you choose it, it's forever. Everytime you make friends, you'd have to watch them grow old and die, over and over.

Immortality would be awesome unless you didn't have some kind of power. Lol So I am not really sure if I would be or not.

When I was younger I found the idea of immortality to be cool but as I get older I realized that it would probably suck! I am already uneasy with the idea that I will eventually lose my loved ones and I don't think I want to watch everyone I love grow old and eventually die as I continue to be the same. Plus you would have to deal with changing locations and identities every few years so people don't get suspicious (assuming that people don't know that there are immortals living among them). The only way I would be okay with being immortal is if I had a companion to share my life with who was also immortal or I was like Maharet from Anne Rice's Queen of the Damned and watch over my living blood line.

I am not sure. The idea of becoming immortal does sound interesting but.....

Please share your thoughts on this topic. ?
surely i would not. The essence of life is living as it is. i don't like the idea of immortal. sounds like a sick mind

No. Most of the reasons are because everyone around you isn't. As you live through your days of immortality your friends and family will slowly die off and you'll be left alone. Moreover' what will your living conditions be like? What if you get permanently disfigured and have to live with that all your life. Although immortality may seem cool' it is depressing as everything you once loved crumbles around you and a new generation takes over.

I don't think I would. Life wouldn't be interesting for someone who's immortal. I firmly believe life is about the way it ends.
