When I read the chapters on Amazon I had not noticed the author's name and I would have thought that getting inside the mind of a 15 year old girl was written by a female. So the author does a very good job of understanding the thoughts and actions of a teen aged girl. The review is good as always and although YA is not a genre I usually am interested in I think I would enjoy reading this book. Great book Mr. Stefani.

I'm actually glad to hear that the romance is missing--it appears too often in YA, and it's always refreshing when it's no longer there!

I enjoyed reading your review. The book sounds interesting and unique. It's nice to see a plot without romance thrown in at some point - too many authors do that even if the romance is unrelated to the main storyline.

Great review! This sounds like a very unique story! I'm Not usually one to read anything about alien abductions, but your review makes it seem as if it is a must read.

Great review. I enjoyed the sample, but I will have to read it at a later date, I have too many lined up to read right now. It does sound like a great YA book though.

Great review and sounds like a must read! There are several aspects of this book that intrigue and I look forward to getting to know the characters better! Mental stability and illness is something that we take for granted and don't really think about unless it closely touches our lives.

Congrats to the author on BOTD and thanks for your comments.

Well-written review! Firstly, I do not like sci-fi novels and I don't enjoy alien themed books or novels. I like my books to be realistic. However, there is something about this book that has me very interested and curious. I was disappointed when the sample ended. I have bought my copy.

'Official Review; The Alienation of Courtney Hoffman, by Brady Stefani', incites an interest in the story. We feel a sense of familiarity in our own lives, with the character-sketch of Courtney. The review puts light on the strong aspect of the book.

Having read only a sample of this book, I very much look forward to reading it in its entirety. The positive review above only increases my desire to read it! As she stated, "In addition to providing an excellent story, this book also gives the reader a glimpse into what those who struggle with mental illness (real or accused) have to go through." I am very curious to learn whether or not the aliens Courtney encounters are real or a result of mental illness.

The alienation of Courtney Hoffman is another good book. She is torn between the past and today. Courtney and her grandfather were very close. However he is not there anymore. She is haunted by bad dreams and aliens coming after her. She remembers what her grandfather has told about this situation before he left. She is distant and afraid by these dreams and aliens coming after her. She is frighten and her mom is angry with her. She thinks she is crazy. Courtney grandfather and his friends studied aliens. They also believe that they would abduct her. She had the same gift that her grandfather had. Courtney's grandfather was very smart and had a chemistry about aliens.

I read the sample and loved the inner dialogue of the unique main character! The story was action-packed right off the bat and I can't wait to find out more. Great review!

Just one interesting thing. When Courtney is in trouble, she usually bites her thumbnail. This happens consistently, defining her character, which in reality rarely changes. And her its also making the story appear to be a real story. Great effort from the author there. Some small things have great impact.
