Welcome!!! I have been with the club for about a month and really enjoy the books and socializing with book lovers such as myself. Ravens Peak is one of the first books I read when I started with the club and I enjoyed it.

James Craft wrote:Awesome review! You make the book sound fantastic, and I know personally that it is and am already on the third in the series! Thanks so much for this!

Thanks! Are the rest of the books in the series as good as this one?

This looks interesting - more so as you reference the gore being similar to Stephen King, whos a personal favourite.

One of the blurbs mentions the author being influenced by Asimov and King - I'm curious as to whether the author style has any such similarity to Asimov.
The small town with strange activity is a very Stephen King milieu!

Fantastic review here! As a huge fan of supernatural work, it sounds like a great read that has the potential to transport you into this world as you are reading it. This is a "great escape" type of read and I look forward to checking it out. Thank you for the thorough review without spoilers.

Excellent review - I appreciate the details of the story telling. It sounds as if there's plenty of fodder for other books in the series. Thanks for the tip about the cliffhanger ending.

Sounds similar to Kim Harrison's books. Very good review, though you didn't really say what exactly the Council is. I'm assuming this is a sequel?

Great review! I also really liked the nonstop action and the interaction between the main characters. I'll be reading the other books in the series as well.
