The Eurasians by Don Peter is in romance genre which was released on July 21, 2016, with 179 standard pages in PDF format. The author made use of a third person omniscient point of view in narrating the story. The setting of the story is taken from different places in some countries like Philippines, London, Malaysia, and Singapore, which made the story very unique.

The Eurasians started with an introduction to Aaron, a British army soldier who survived the war between their enemies. On the other hand, Mei Ling, who suffered the hardships of being poor, and wished that she could meet a rich man who could provide her with a luxurious life. Because of her desire to get rid of poverty, she left their house to work as a prostitute in one of the clubs in Sandakan and changed her name to Elaine. They met each other at the club where Elaine was working then suddenly fell in love with each other and get married immediately. They were blessed with 4 children including Devin, the son of Aaron from his ex-girlfriend who died after delivering Devin.

Their children grew up without the love and care from their mother who was fond of gambling. Devin collected money from illegal business to leave their place. Raymond was very insecure to the success of his childhood friend William. He always deceived his former employers to gain their trust and later on, he stole money from them and leaves. Theresa, who is an employee of a hotel, became the mistress of their manager. Linda, who also had a relationship with a married man. Lastly, Susan, their youngest sister, pursued her architectural course in one of the Universities in Kuala Lumpur.

While reading the book, I feel different emotions like anger, hate, and love. I feel angry and at the same time hatred for the character of Raymond, who always deceived his employers. He doesn’t feel contented with his work and salary, which enables him to steal more money from them. I feel love for the characters of William, Aaron, and Susan because they are so kind and very understanding to their love ones.

The book was very entertaining, and it also gave lessons to readers, especially to married couples, single moms, and separated couples. The series of events were very well-presented and I didn’t notice any error in it. I appreciate the author for writing a good book which educated and inspired me.

I gave The Eurasians a rating of 4 out of 4 stars. I recommend this book to everybody especially to readers who are fond of reading works of fiction.

You know it's a good book when it brings forth so many emotions from its readers! It sounds like an interesting read.

This seems to be a book involving many characters mixed up in multiple devices and mischief. It'll be interesting to find out how the author resolves all the issues.
